In order to better understand and therefore accurately portray the processes involved, staff from Catalyst visited a Specsavers store and experienced what every customer would experience during a thorough eye examination. This knowledge was then used to design and model a range of characters, environments and equipment, showing everything from the customer’s first visit to the store, through the lab technician making the lenses, to collection of the finished glasses. Voiced by Martin Freeman, the films have a friendly feel to reassure anyone who may feel daunted by the prospect of an eye test.
